There is a Marketing story about a Distiller. His son asked him about advertising. The father said:
“My Daddy taught me that anything you can say about good whiskey has already been said about bad whiskey. So I figure the best we can do is try to make it mildly interesting, and hope that people will find their way.”
I don’t think most of my clients drink. But advertising about lawyers is like advertising about anything else – the advertisement always says the lawyer is good, whether he is or is not.
