If I were hurt, it’s not what I would do.
In my experience, most of the organizations who call people at home are not made up of medical doctors, but are groups of chiropractors.
This may be ok if you like chiropractors, but that is beside the point. You should be the one choosing your doctor.
(I have my own thoughts on chiropractors – basically, they can help, but insurance companies are skeptical – check out this blog post that I wrote about them.)
Do you want to see a doctor who paid a service to copy the names and phone numbers of victims off of accident reports, or do you want to see a doctor who you – or a trusted doctor or hospital – has determined is the best doctor available for you? I know which one I would choose.
I would start off by calling my family doctor. If I was pretty sure that there was a problem with a bone or a muscle, I might make an appointment with an orthopedic doctor right away.
If you don’t have a family doctor – lots of people don’t – I would go to the emergency room of a local hospital. Or you could talk to a trusted family member or friend, and see who they use.
I have been a lawyer over 30 years. I have dealt with all kinds of doctors. If you think you might have an injury that requires medical care, and you want to speak with an experienced Injury Lawyer in Cincinnati, call 513-621-4775.
Because all situations are different, and because there may be other facts pertaining to your case that I don’t know about, you should not rely on this answer for legal advice. I am not your attorney, and no lawyer client relationship has been formed.
